I am Zelda Di Blasi. You might guess from my name that I have Italian roots. In fact, I am half Sicilian, and half Irish. I  moved to Ireland age 14, and then studied for B.A. in Applied Psychology and a Masters in Health Psychology.

In between these degrees, I followed another passion of mine. Dance! For two years, I studied Dance for a Diploma in Modern Dance. I love music and movement, but I also love writing - especially about wellbeing.

I completed a PhD in Health Sciences at the University of York (gorgeous city!) on the Placebo Effect and Health Care Interactions (if you are interested in some of this, check out my publications) and a Post-Doc in Health Psychology and Integrative Medicine at the University of California San Francisco (another incredible place to live).

While living in the Bay Area, I practiced Anusara Yoga and Five Rhythms, a mindful movement practice, and trained to be a coach at the HeartMath Institute in Boulder Creek.

I moved back to Cork, Ireland in 2006 and I have been lecturing in Positive Psychology, Health Psychology, Coaching Psychology, and Social Psychology at University College Cork.

In 2013, I co-founded and co-direct a Masters in Positive & Coaching Psychology, which has attracted over 200 graduates from all over the world. Last November, I co-founded the Positive Coaching Lab, with my wonderful team.
